Ike is the name of Kyle Broflovski’s younger adopted brother. Ike Broflovski is a Canadian-born child whom Kyle’s family adopts, making him both Kyle’s sibling and one of South Park’s most recognizable younger characters.
Ike is much younger than Kyle and often appears in storylines involving his unusual relationship with his older brother. Kyle is fiercely protective of him, even though the two are frequently placed in absurd or dangerous situations. Ike’s Canadian background is central to several jokes, including the show’s exaggerated depiction of Canadian speech and customs.
Viewers sometimes confuse Ike with other South Park children. Clyde Donovan, Kevin Stoley, and Pip Pirrup are classmates or recurring students, not Kyle’s adopted brother. Ike is also not Kyle’s biological sibling; his adoption and Canadian origins are established parts of his character background.
