What is the name of Jay-Z's 11th studio album? It is "The Blueprint 3."
Released in 2009, The Blueprint 3 is the eleventh studio album by American rapper Jay-Z and the third entry in his Blueprint series. It followed The Blueprint from 2001 and The Blueprint²: The Gift & the Curse from 2002.
The album was released on September 8, 2009, through Jay-Z's Roc Nation with distribution by Atlantic Records. Its major singles included "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)," "Run This Town," "Empire State of Mind," "On to the Next One," and "Young Forever." The album featured artists such as Kanye West, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Drake, and Pharrell Williams.
The title is easy to confuse with the earlier albums in the series, particularly The Blueprint². The number refers to the album's place in the Blueprint sequence, while the eleventh-studio-album description refers to Jay-Z's overall solo album catalog. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
