What is the name of Apple's office suite?

The story behind the answer

Apple’s office suite is called iWork. It is a collection of productivity applications designed for creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations across Apple devices and through iCloud in a web browser.

iWork’s three main applications are Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Pages handles word processing and page-layout work, Numbers is Apple’s spreadsheet application, and Keynote is used to create presentations. Their closest Microsoft Office counterparts are Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, respectively.

The suite developed from Apple’s earlier productivity software. Keynote began as a standalone presentation application in 2003 and was famously used by Steve Jobs for Apple presentations. The first iWork bundle followed in 2004 with Pages, while Numbers joined the suite in 2007 as part of iWork ’08.

iWork is sometimes confused with AppleWorks, an older integrated office suite that Apple eventually replaced. Another common misconception is that iWork only works on Macs: Apple also offers versions for iPhone and iPad, plus browser-based access through iCloud. iWork apps can import and export many Microsoft Office formats, which makes them useful even in mixed-device workplaces.
