What is the name of Apple's map application?

Apple’s map application is Apple Maps. It provides mapping, search, directions, estimated travel times, and navigation across Apple devices and through a web version.

Apple Maps launched on September 19, 2012, with iOS 6, replacing Google Maps as the default mapping system on the iPhone and iPad. Apple built the service to include turn-by-turn navigation, 3D imagery, and integration with Siri. Its Flyover feature offered detailed three-dimensional views of selected cities and landmarks.

The initial release became famous for inaccurate directions, incomplete transit information, and other data problems. Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly apologized soon afterward and encouraged users to try alternatives while the company improved the service. Apple subsequently rebuilt large portions of its map data and added features such as Look Around, cycling directions, offline maps, and multi-stop routing.

Apple Maps is not the same as Google Maps, Waze, or OpenStreetMap. Those are separate mapping products, even though they may offer overlapping navigation features.
