The English title of the Kirby anime series is Kirby: Right Back at Ya!

The Japanese television series was based on Nintendo and HAL Laboratory's Kirby franchise and follows Kirby after he crash-lands on the planet Popstar. In the English adaptation, he befriends Tiff and Tuff, faces monsters supplied by Nightmare Enterprises, and repeatedly clashes with King Dedede and Escargoon.

The title can be confusing because the original Japanese name is Hoshi no Kirby, meaning “Kirby of the Stars.” The English localization did not translate that title literally. Instead, it used Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, a playful phrase that reflects the show's comedic tone and Kirby's tendency to send attacks back at his enemies.

The anime first aired in Japan from 2001 to 2003 and ran for 100 episodes. North America's English dub was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment and was heavily adapted, including changes to music, dialogue, episode presentation, and some character terminology. Those localization changes do not alter the official English series title, which is the answer used by English-language listings and releases.
