What is Ron and Diane Swanson's son named?

Ron and Diane Swanson’s son is named John Swanson.

Diane is already the mother of two daughters, Ivy and Zoe, when she meets Ron. After their relationship develops, the couple marries and Diane becomes pregnant. The pregnancy is revealed in the Season 6 premiere, “London,” during a period when Ron is still adjusting to the idea of becoming a parent again.

Their son’s birth is revealed in “The Wall,” where Ron quietly explains that the baby is named John. The character is generally referred to as John Swanson, although the series also hints that he has a longer middle name. Ron’s understated announcement fits the show’s running joke that he shares very little personal information unless absolutely necessary.

John is sometimes confused with Oliver Perkins-Traeger, Ann and Chris’s son, or Jack Dwyer, April and Andy’s son. Those children belong to other Pawnee families. John is Ron and Diane’s biological son and the youngest member of the Swanson household shown in the series.
