Answer
Sealhenry Samuel
Musician Seal's commonly reported real name is Sealhenry Samuel. Modern biographical sources give his fuller birth name as Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel, while "Sealhenry Samuel" remains a widely used shortened form and listed alias.
Seal was born in Paddington, London, in 1963 to a Nigerian mother and a Brazilian father. He spent part of his childhood with a foster family in Westminster and later studied architecture before pursuing music. His distinctive facial scars resulted from discoid lupus, a condition he had as a child.
His breakthrough came in 1990 when he supplied vocals for Adamski's house single "Killer," which reached number one in the United Kingdom. He then worked with producer Trevor Horn on his self-titled 1991 debut album, which included "Crazy" and helped launch his international career.
Seal is best known worldwide for "Kiss from a Rose," which became strongly associated with the 1995 film Batman Forever. The song won three Grammy Awards in 1996, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
