What is LinkedIn's online learning platform called?

The story behind the answer

LinkedIn's online learning platform is called LinkedIn Learning. It provides video courses and learning paths focused mainly on business, technology, and creative skills.

The service began as Lynda.com, an online education company founded by Lynda Weinman and Bruce Heinemann in 1995. LinkedIn acquired Lynda.com in 2015 for about $1.5 billion, then relaunched its educational library as LinkedIn Learning in 2016. That history explains why Lynda is a tempting but outdated answer.

LinkedIn Learning connects course recommendations with information about professional skills and careers on LinkedIn. Subscribers can study topics such as software, leadership, design, marketing, and data analysis, and may add completed courses and certificates to their profiles. Udemy and Coursera are separate online-learning companies, so they are not alternative names for LinkedIn's service.
