The Pevensie children enter the fictional land of Narnia through a wardrobe.
Narnia is the central world of C.S. Lewis’s seven-book fantasy series. In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Lucy Pevensie discovers that the back of an old wardrobe leads to a snowy woodland in Narnia. Her siblings later follow her, becoming involved in the struggle against the White Witch.
Narnia is more than a single kingdom: the name can refer to the world and also to a particular country within it. The wider setting includes places such as Archenland, Calormen, and the Lone Islands. Narnia’s history spans creation, successive kings and queens, and its final destruction in The Last Battle, which is why the books cover a much larger story than the wardrobe episode alone.
