What company was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne?
Answer
Apple Inc.
Answer
Apple Inc.
Apple Inc. was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. The three formed Apple Computer Company as a partnership on April 1, 1976, in California.
Wozniak designed the Apple I, a computer built for hobbyists, while Jobs recognized that the machine could become a product and helped arrange its sale. Wayne supplied business experience, drafted the original partnership agreement, and helped document the new venture. The founders funded the first production run partly by selling personal belongings: Jobs sold his Volkswagen van and Wozniak sold an HP calculator.
Wayne left less than two weeks after the company was formed, selling his 10 percent stake back to Jobs and Wozniak for $800. Apple was incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc. in January 1977. Its breakthrough Apple II, introduced later that year, helped turn the small partnership into a major personal-computer company.
