What company resulted from the 2011 merger of NYSE Euronext and Deutsche Börse?

The story behind the answer

No company was formed because the planned 2011 merger of NYSE Euronext and Deutsche Börse was blocked by regulators.

The proposed transaction would have combined the New York Stock Exchange operator with the German exchange group. European Union regulators prohibited the deal in February 2012, concluding that it would create a near-monopoly in important European financial-derivatives markets.

Because the transaction never completed, there was no legally formed merged company and no new corporate name resulting from it. NYSE Euronext continued operating until Intercontinental Exchange acquired it in 2013.

This is a useful distinction in merger trivia: an announced agreement, a shareholder-approved transaction, and a completed merger are not the same thing. Deutsche Börse and NYSE Euronext reached an agreement, but regulatory prohibition prevented the combination from becoming reality.
