Mugman is Cuphead’s brother and the game’s second playable character. His design deliberately contrasts with Cuphead’s red color scheme: Mugman has blue clothing and blue details, including his nose and straw. Cuphead and Mugman live on Inkwell Isle and become entangled in trouble after losing a dice game against the Devil. They must travel through several areas, defeat bosses, and collect contracts in an attempt to settle the debt. Mugman is generally portrayed as the more cautious and sensible sibling, although he still joins Cuphead’s reckless adventures.
