What character does Steve Buscemi play in Reservoir Dogs?

Steve Buscemi plays Mr. Pink in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs.

Mr. Pink is one of the six color-coded criminals recruited for a diamond heist by crime boss Joe Cabot. The aliases are intended to conceal the robbers’ identities, creating a tense group dynamic when the robbery collapses and everyone suspects there is a police informant among them.

Mr. Pink is portrayed as paranoid, calculating, and unwilling to trust the other robbers. He survives the botched heist and escapes with the diamonds, making him one of the few members of the group whose fate is not shown directly. Buscemi’s performance earned him the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.

A common mix-up is confusing Mr. Pink with Mr. Orange, played by Tim Roth, or Mr. White, played by Harvey Keitel. Tarantino originally intended to play Mr. Pink himself, but Buscemi ultimately made the role one of the film’s most memorable characters.
