What are the AI drivers that mimic Forza players called?

The story behind the answer

The AI drivers that mimic Forza players are called Drivatars. Rather than relying only on a generic computer-controlled racing line, the system uses player driving data to create AI opponents whose behavior is intended to resemble real people.

Drivatars appear throughout Forza Horizon 3 as race opponents and as drivers encountered in the open world. Their difficulty can be adjusted, and players may challenge them in head-to-head events. In Horizon 3, a defeated Drivatar could also be recruited to the player’s racing team, where it contributed to progression rewards and convoy activities.

The name combines “driver” with “avatar,” which explains why “Avatars” is a tempting but incomplete answer. Convoys are groups of cars traveling together, while Accolades are achievement-style milestones in newer Horizon games. Those terms describe other systems, not the player-derived driving AI. Drivatars were introduced before Horizon 3 and returned from earlier Forza games.
