What action lets a Splatoon player instantly launch to a teammate or spawn point?
Answer
Super jumping
Answer
Super jumping
The action that lets a Splatoon player instantly launch to a teammate or spawn point is super jumping.
A player normally activates a Super Jump through the battle map or target-selection interface. They choose a teammate, or select their team’s spawn region, and their character launches through the air to that destination. This lets a player return to the action quickly after respawning or reposition around the stage.
Super jumping is powerful because it saves travel time, but it carries a risk. The landing point is marked briefly, allowing an opponent to predict the arrival and attack. Skilled players therefore check the map, choose safer teammates, or use abilities and positioning to reduce the danger.
The feature has been part of Splatoon since the original Wii U game. The first title used the GamePad’s touch screen to select a teammate or spawn point; later games adapted the interface for Nintendo Switch hardware. Super jumping is not the same as Reefslider, a special weapon, or Squid Roll, a movement technique introduced in Splatoon 3.
