Tetris Effect is the 2018 Tetris game known for synchronizing visual and audio effects with gameplay. Developed by Enhance and directed by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, it turns each falling piece, line clear, sound, and background animation into part of a coordinated audiovisual experience.

The game was announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR in 2018 and released on November 9 of that year. Its more than 30 stages use changing environments, music, lighting, and particle effects that react to the player's movements and progress.

Tetris Effect takes its name from the psychological phenomenon in which people continue to see or mentally arrange falling blocks after extended play. Its design expands that idea by making the entire game world appear to pulse and respond to the player's rhythm.
