What 2005 adventure movie did Mike Mitchell direct?

The 2005 adventure movie directed by Mike Mitchell was Sky High. The film is a superhero comedy about Will Stronghold, a teenager who attends a high school for young superheroes.

Will faces unusual pressure because his parents are famous heroes: Steve Stronghold, known as the Commander, and Josie Stronghold, known as Jetstream. At Sky High, students are classified as heroes or sidekicks according to their abilities, creating a teenage-school story around powers, popularity and identity.

The cast includes Michael Angarano as Will, Danielle Panabaker as Layla, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Gwen Grayson, Kurt Russell as the Commander and Kelly Preston as Jetstream. Disney released the film in 2005, and its airborne campus and colorful comic-book setting helped give it a distinctive place among family superhero films.

Mike Mitchell later directed several major animated and family films, including Shrek Forever After, Trolls, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and Kung Fu Panda 4. Sky High is a live-action film, so it is sometimes confused with Mitchell’s later animation work.
