TLC member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes dated Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Andre Rison.
Lopes and Rison began their relationship in the early 1990s and lived together in the Atlanta area. Their turbulent relationship became widely known after a 1994 argument led Lopes to set fire to Rison's mansion. The blaze destroyed the house and became one of the most reported celebrity incidents of that decade.
Rison was an accomplished NFL receiver who played for several teams, including the Atlanta Falcons, where he became one of the league's notable offensive stars. He was selected to five Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers after leaving Atlanta.
Lopes was a member of TLC, one of the most successful groups in 1990s popular music. The trio's combination of R&B, hip-hop, and pop produced hits such as “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs.” Reports later said Lopes and Rison reconciled and planned to marry in 2001, but they did not ultimately marry.
