Thunderbolt is an album released by which artist?

The story behind the answer

Thunderbolt is an album released by the British heavy metal band Saxon. It is Saxon's twenty-second studio album and was released on February 2, 2018, through Silver Lining Music.

The album was produced by Andy Sneap and continues Saxon's long association with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the late-1970s and early-1980s movement that also included Iron Maiden and Diamond Head. Its songs include the title track, “Thunderbolt,” and “They Played Rock and Roll,” a tribute to Motörhead and the band's late frontman Lemmy.

A common mix-up is the album's release date: although it belongs to the 2010s, it was not released in 2010 or 2017. Saxon formed in Barnsley, England, in 1977 and had already released more than 20 studio albums by the time Thunderbolt appeared. The band is also sometimes confused with similarly named acts such as Saxon Street or Saxon Princess, but this album belongs to the veteran British metal group.
