The Spaghetti Bowl interchange is located in which Nevada city?
Answer
Las Vegas
Answer
Las Vegas
The Spaghetti Bowl interchange is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a major freeway interchange in downtown Las Vegas, not a separate city or a nickname for the entire metropolitan area.
The interchange connects Interstate 15 with U.S. Route 95 and U.S. Route 93; it also includes connections involving Martin Luther King Boulevard. Its tangled ramps and overlapping roadways inspired the informal “Spaghetti Bowl” name, much like other complex interchanges called “spaghetti junctions.”
The original interchange was built during the 1960s and completed in 1968. Rapid growth in traffic eventually made its narrow ramps and looping layout inadequate, so Nevada substantially rebuilt it between 1999 and 2000. The reconstruction added wider ramps, flyovers, and improved connections.
A common mix-up is Henderson, another major Nevada city linked to the regional freeway network. Henderson lies southeast of Las Vegas, but the interchange itself is in Las Vegas. The location is also distinct from Salt Lake City’s interchange sometimes called the Spaghetti Bowl.
