The PlayStation 4 launch version of Rocket League included Sweet Tooth’s car from the Twisted Metal series. Sweet Tooth is the signature vehicle of the PlayStation-exclusive vehicular-combat franchise, driven by the series’ murderous clown character.
The crossover connected Rocket League with an older PlayStation property. Rocket League launched on PlayStation 4 and Windows on July 7, 2015, and the PS4 edition used Sweet Tooth as a platform-specific unlockable or bonus vehicle rather than as a separate Twisted Metal game mode.
This was one of several licensed or platform-themed additions in Rocket League. Later versions included other franchise-inspired vehicles, such as Gears of War and Halo-themed cars on Xbox One and Mario-, Luigi-, and Metroid-inspired designs on Nintendo Switch. Sweet Tooth, however, is specifically associated with Twisted Metal.
