The Fall Out Boy song "The Kids Aren't Alright" implores the listener to "maul the world like" a bear.
The full lyric describes mauling the world "like a carnival bear set free," so "bear" is the single fair answer to the question. The image suggests a powerful, dangerous animal suddenly released from confinement, matching the song's aggressive but emotionally troubled tone.
Fall Out Boy released the song as a promotional track in December 2014, ahead of their sixth studio album, American Beauty/American Psycho, which arrived in January 2015. It is the album's fourth track and runs for about four minutes and 20 seconds.
A common mix-up is answering "carnival bear" or "bears." Those reproduce more of the lyric, but the question asks what animal, making "bear" the correct quiz answer. The song was written by all four members of the band's classic lineup: Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley.
