Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was released on Netflix. The four-part revival became available worldwide on November 25, 2016.
The revival followed years of renewed interest in Gilmore Girls, particularly after the original series became available through streaming. Netflix and Warner Bros. Television officially confirmed the project in January 2016.
Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino returned as writers and directors. Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, and Kelly Bishop led the returning cast, while many supporting performers also reprised their roles.
Unlike the original broadcast series, the revival was designed as a limited streaming event. Its four feature-length episodes are titled “Winter,” “Spring,” “Summer,” and “Fall,” creating a year-long structure for the continuation.
