On which stock exchange are Saudi Aramco shares listed?

The story behind the answer

Saudi Aramco shares are listed on Tadawul, the stock exchange of Saudi Arabia.

Tadawul is the largest stock exchange in the Middle East by several commonly used measures and is headquartered in Riyadh. Saudi Aramco began trading there in December 2019 after its landmark initial public offering. The listing made a portion of the state-owned energy giant available to public investors while the Saudi government retained majority ownership.

The exchange is formally known as the Saudi Exchange, although Tadawul remains the widely recognized name. Its benchmark index is the Tadawul All Share Index, often abbreviated TASI.

Saudi Aramco is frequently included in lists of the world’s largest companies by market capitalization. Its valuation is influenced by oil prices, production expectations, energy policy, and investor views about the long-term transition away from fossil fuels.
