On which date did the television series Lost premiere?
Answer
September 22, 2004
Answer
September 22, 2004
The television series Lost premiered on September 22, 2004.
The episode aired on ABC in the United States and introduced the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 after their aircraft crashed on a mysterious island. The premiere established Jack Shephard, Kate Austen, and Charlie Pace among the principal characters and immediately combined survival drama with unexplained island events.
Lost was created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof. Abrams directed the pilot, which became one of the most expensive television pilots produced at the time because of its large-scale crash setting and extensive location work.
Some viewers confuse the premiere date with the date of the show’s two-part pilot production or later international broadcasts. September 22, 2004 is the original U.S. ABC broadcast date. The series later ran for six seasons before ending in 2010.
