The United States Army’s 250th anniversary was celebrated on June 14, 2025, as part of the America250 buildup.
The date reflects the Continental Congress’s creation of the United States Army on June 14, 1775. That makes the Army’s anniversary one year earlier than the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
A military parade and birthday celebration took place in Arlington, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The event was described as a soft launch of celebrations connected with the United States Semiquincentennial.
June 14 is also Flag Day in the United States, creating a second national association for the date. The Army anniversary should not be confused with Veterans Day on November 11 or Independence Day on July 4.
