On what date was Tekken 8 released?

Tekken 8 was released on January 26, 2024. It launched for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S as the eighth mainline Tekken game and the series’ tenth overall entry.

Unlike earlier main installments, Tekken 8 did not debut in arcades before reaching home platforms. Bandai Namco built it with Unreal Engine 5, helping deliver more detailed characters, arenas, and visual effects. Its story, The Dark Awakens, centers on the continuing conflict between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima.

The date is sometimes confused with announcement, testing, or release dates for other Tekken titles. Tekken 7 reached consoles in 2017, while Tekken 8’s network tests and promotional events happened during 2023. The January 26 date refers to the worldwide commercial launch of the game itself.
