Answer
September 25, 2007
Answer
September 25, 2007
Halo 3 was released in North America on September 25, 2007.
Developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Halo 3 was the third mainline game in the Halo series and the concluding chapter of the original trilogy. It launched exclusively for Xbox 360, following Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2.
The release was a major commercial event. Microsoft promoted it heavily, and the game became one of the most successful Xbox 360 titles. Its campaign continues the story of Master Chief and the Arbiter as they confront the Covenant and the Flood.
The date is sometimes confused with other regional launches. Halo 3 became available in Europe and Australia on September 26, 2007, while Japan received it on September 27. The related Halo 3: ODST was released two years later, in September 2009, so its launch date should not be substituted for the original game's.
