Forza Horizon 3's Blizzard Mountain expansion was released on 13 December 2016.

Blizzard Mountain was the first major expansion for Forza Horizon 3. It transported the festival experience from the game's Australian mainland to a separate alpine environment filled with snow, ice, steep elevations, and whiteout blizzards.

The wintry setting also changed the way events worked. Instead of following the base game's fan-focused progression, players worked toward collecting stars and competing in mountain challenges. Icy roads and reduced visibility made vehicle control more demanding, while snow tires became especially useful for cars entering the new area.

The expansion added new vehicles and a new campaign, including the 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX and a barn-find vehicle. It is often mixed up with Hot Wheels, the second Forza Horizon 3 expansion, which arrived later on 9 May 2017.
