The United States Army marked its 250th anniversary with a parade on June 14, 2025.
The parade took place in Arlington, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., along a route from the Pentagon toward the National Mall. It commemorated the Continental Congress’s creation of the U.S. Army on June 14, 1775.
The event was part of the wider celebrations leading to the United States Semiquincentennial. It also coincided with Flag Day and President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday, giving the date several national associations.
About 6,600 soldiers participated, along with vehicles, aircraft, horses, parachutists, and military bands. The parade was described as a soft launch for broader America250 activities.
