On "Gilmore Girls", which actor played Luke's rebellious nephew, Jess Mariano?

On "Gilmore Girls," Milo Ventimiglia played Luke's rebellious nephew, Jess Mariano. Jess arrives in Stars Hollow during the show's second season after his mother, Liz Danes, sends him to live with her brother Luke. His difficult behavior, sharp wit, and deep interest in books quickly make him one of the town's most disruptive newcomers.

Ventimiglia played Jess from 2001 to 2006, appearing in 37 episodes of the original series. The character became central to Rory Gilmore's romantic storyline, creating tension with her first boyfriend, Dean Forester. Jess's rebellious image often overshadows his literary interests and later personal growth, but both traits are important parts of his character arc.

A common mix-up is confusing Ventimiglia with Jared Padalecki, who played Dean, or Matt Czuchry, who played Logan Huntzberger. Ventimiglia later reprised Jess in the 2016 Netflix revival, "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."
