April Nardini first appears in Season 6 as a twelve-year-old who unexpectedly discovers that Luke Danes is her biological father. She obtains DNA samples from Luke and two other men for a school science project, and the test reveals that Luke is her father. Her arrival radically changes Luke’s life and complicates his relationship with Lorelai.
April is the daughter of Luke and Anna Nardini, whose earlier relationship had ended before Luke knew he had a child.
