In which year was Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood released worldwide?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was released worldwide in 2010. Ubisoft launched the game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2010, followed by a Windows release in 2011.

Brotherhood continues Ezio Auditore's story after Assassin's Creed II. Its main historical setting is Renaissance Rome, where Ezio works to weaken the Borgia family and rebuild the Assassin Brotherhood. The game also introduced a recruitment system that let players enlist and train new Assassins.

Brotherhood is sometimes mistaken for a simple expansion because it follows Assassin's Creed II closely and reuses Ezio's character. Ubisoft presented it as a full sequel, with a new campaign, Rome as a large open-world setting, multiplayer modes, and expanded Assassin management. It is also notable as the first Assassin's Creed title to include competitive online multiplayer at launch.
