In which year was Assassin's Creed Valhalla released?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Valhalla was released in 2020.

Ubisoft released Valhalla on 10 November 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia and Windows, with versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S arriving as those consoles launched. The game follows Eivor, a Viking raider who becomes involved in the conflict between the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.

Its main historical settings include ninth-century Norway and England. The settlement-building system makes the player's home base an important part of progression, while raids and alliances structure much of the English campaign.

Valhalla is sometimes dated to 2021 because some next-generation or regional releases and later expansions appeared after the initial launch. The base game itself debuted in 2020, before the 2021 expansion Wrath of the Druids.
