Tej Lalvani joined the Dragons' Den investment panel in 2017.
Lalvani became a Dragon in the fifteenth series of the British programme, taking a seat after the departure of Nick Jenkins. His background is in consumer products and nutrition, and he is chief executive of Vitabiotics, the company founded by his father, Kartar Lalvani.
At the time of his appointment, Lalvani was among the younger investors to join the regular panel. His expertise brought a strong focus on branded health, wellness and consumer-product businesses to the programme.
Lalvani later left the show after the eighteenth series. His period on Dragons' Den therefore belongs to the late-2010s and early-2020s line-up, rather than the original 2005 panel or the later group formed after 2022.
