Taylor Swift’s “august” first appeared on the Philippines singles chart in 2022.
The song was originally released in 2020, but its chart history continued to develop after the album’s debut. In 2022, it appeared on singles charts in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam, reflecting renewed listener interest beyond its initial release period.
Its seasonal reputation is central to that later attention. Streaming and online discussion often increase around August, when listeners return to the song’s late-summer setting and its story of a short-lived romance.
This chart appearance should not be confused with the song’s original U.S. debut or with its later Billboard Global 200 peak. Chart entries can occur years after an album’s release when streaming activity changes substantially.
