In which Tennessee town is the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival held?
Answer
Manchester
Answer
Manchester
The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is held in Manchester, Tennessee.
Bonnaroo’s site is Great Stage Park, a large farm and event property near Manchester, south of Nashville. The festival was first held in 2002 and quickly became known for its broad lineup, camping culture, comedy, art, and late-night performances.
The name “Bonnaroo” was inspired by a French phrase associated with something good or valuable, as well as the musical language of New Orleans. The festival’s programming has included rock, hip-hop, electronic music, country, folk, and jam-oriented acts.
Manchester is sometimes mistaken for Nashville because Nashville is Tennessee’s best-known music city and a common travel gateway. However, the festival grounds themselves are in Manchester, a separate town in Coffee County.
