In which state is the Firefly Music Festival held?

The Firefly Music Festival is held in Delaware, primarily at The Woodlands of Dover Motor Speedway in Dover. The festival became known for bringing alternative rock, indie, electronic, and pop acts to the Mid-Atlantic region.

Firefly began in 2012 and used a large outdoor setting with camping and multiple stages. Its lineups included artists such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, the Arctic Monkeys, the Killers, ODESZA, and Post Malone.

The festival was canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic and returned for later editions before going on hiatus. Organizers announced in February 2024 that it would not return that year. These later scheduling changes do not alter the historical answer: when Firefly was held, its state location was Delaware.
