In which New Mexico town was Georgia O'Keeffe's home known as the Abiquiú house?

The story behind the answer

Georgia O'Keeffe's famous New Mexico home and studio was in Abiquiú.

O'Keeffe began renting the property in 1945 and eventually acquired it. The adobe house had a distinctive courtyard wall with a door, a subject she painted repeatedly after finding its shapes and shadows compelling. She restored the property and used it as both a residence and a workplace.

The Abiquiú home became an important part of her artistic practice. Its doors, walls, courtyard, and surrounding landscape supplied recurring visual motifs, while the nearby terrain connected her daily life to the subjects of her New Mexico paintings.

The property is often confused with Ghost Ranch, another place strongly associated with O'Keeffe. Ghost Ranch was a separate retreat and source of inspiration to the north. Abiquiú identifies the town and the house where she established a permanent working home.
