In which New Mexico area did Georgia O'Keeffe maintain a home known as Ghost Ranch?

The story behind the answer

Georgia O'Keeffe maintained a home at Ghost Ranch near Abiquiú, New Mexico.

O'Keeffe first visited New Mexico in 1929 and returned repeatedly, finding subjects in its cliffs, desert, bones, churches, and broad skies. Ghost Ranch, north of Abiquiú, became one of the landscapes most closely identified with her later work.

She acquired a house at Ghost Ranch in 1940 and later restored a historic adobe house in Abiquiú, which she bought in 1945. The two locations served different purposes in her life and work, but both were connected with her sustained engagement with northern New Mexico.

Taos is another important New Mexico art center and is often mentioned alongside O'Keeffe, but Ghost Ranch was near Abiquiú rather than in Taos. Her paintings of the region transformed specific local forms into simplified, highly recognizable modern compositions.
