In which Indian city is the IPL headquarters located?

The IPL headquarters is located in Mumbai, at the Cricket Centre near Wankhede Stadium.

Mumbai is a fitting administrative home for the league because it is also the base of the BCCI, Indian cricket’s governing body. The Cricket Centre stands within the Wankhede Stadium complex in Churchgate, a prominent area of south Mumbai. From there, IPL administration is coordinated alongside the wider work of the BCCI.

This question can cause confusion because IPL franchises are based in several cities, including Chennai, Bengaluru and Delhi. Those cities host teams and matches, but they are not the league’s headquarters. Mumbai is also home to the Mumbai Indians, yet the headquarters’ location is an administrative fact rather than a reference to that franchise.
