In which game was the 'Rage Art' mechanic introduced?

The story behind the answer

The Rage Art mechanic was introduced in Tekken 7. It gives a character in Rage access to a powerful signature attack that can absorb certain incoming hits during its startup and trigger a cinematic sequence if it connects.

Rage itself had already appeared in Tekken 6 as a low-health damage boost, but Tekken 7 expanded that system with Rage Arts and Rage Drives. A Rage Art is generally available once a fighter's health becomes critical, and using it consumes the character's Rage for that round. Its damage is designed as a dramatic comeback option rather than a freely repeatable super move.

The mechanic helped make Tekken 7 more approachable to newcomers because a player who was losing could still threaten a substantial reversal. Experienced players, however, could bait the attack, block it, and punish its recovery, creating a clear risk-and-reward trade-off.

Rage Art is often confused with Rage Drive. Both belong to Tekken 7's expanded Rage system, but Rage Drive is usually a more combo-oriented or tactical attack, while Rage Art is the cinematic critical move.
