Answer
Austin Powers in Goldmember
Beyoncé made her feature-film debut as Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers in Goldmember.
The 2002 comedy was the third film in the Austin Powers series, following Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and The Spy Who Shagged Me. Mike Myers played Austin Powers and several other characters, while Beyoncé portrayed Foxxy Cleopatra, an undercover agent and Austin’s partner.
The character is styled as a glamorous 1970s action heroine, and the film uses that period’s fashion, music, and spy-movie conventions for comic effect. Beyoncé also contributed to the movie’s soundtrack with the song “Work It Out.”
Beyoncé later appeared in films including The Fighting Temptations, Dreamgirls, and Cadillac Records. Dreamgirls is a frequent mix-up because it became one of her most prominent early acting roles, but Goldmember came first.
