In which dimension can players find the Wither Skeletons?

Wither Skeletons are found in the Nether, especially inside Nether Fortresses.

They are hostile undead mobs introduced to Minecraft as fortress guardians. Unlike ordinary skeletons, Wither Skeletons carry stone swords and attack at close range. Their hits can inflict the Wither effect, which gradually drains health and temporarily turns the player’s health bar dark.

Nether Fortresses are also important because they contain Blaze spawners and are a key source of materials needed to progress toward the End. Wither Skeletons can drop coal, bones, stone swords, and—rarely—a Wither Skeleton skull. Three skulls, combined with four blocks of soul sand or soul soil, are used to summon the Wither boss.

A common mix-up is confusing the Nether with the End, another dangerous Minecraft dimension. The End is home to Endermen and the Ender Dragon, while Wither Skeletons are associated with Nether Fortresses. In normal gameplay, they are not native Overworld or End mobs, although players can transport one through a Nether Portal.
