Dubrovnik is a Croatian coastal city, and reports about the final season’s production identified filming there during the 2025 shoot. The location added an international setting to a series otherwise strongly associated with the American Southeast.
Croatia is distinct from Portugal, which was linked to the story destination of Lisbon in Season 4’s finale, and from Morocco, where Season 4 filmed scenes in Essaouira and Ouarzazate.
Production geography and story geography are not always identical. A television series may use one country to represent another place on screen, while the fictional plot identifies a different destination.
