In which city is the Bob Marley Museum, located in his former home?

The story behind the answer

The Bob Marley Museum is in Kingston, Jamaica, at the former home of Bob Marley. The museum preserves the house and studio where Marley lived and worked during the most influential period of his career.

The property is located at 56 Hope Road in Kingston and was Marley's residence from 1975 until his death in 1981. It became a museum in 1986, five years after his death, through the efforts of his widow, Rita Marley. Exhibits include personal possessions, photographs, recording equipment, clothing, and memorabilia connected with the Wailers.

Kingston is often confused with Trench Town, another important Marley location. Trench Town was the neighborhood where Marley spent formative years and developed musically, while the museum itself is at Hope Road. The site also reflects Kingston's importance as Jamaica's recording and cultural center.
