Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is set mainly in Rome.
Released in 2010, Brotherhood continues the story of Ezio Auditore after Assassin's Creed II. Its central open-world environment is Rome, where the Borgia family controls much of the city and the surrounding region.
Ezio works to weaken Borgia power, recruit and train Assassins, and rebuild the local Brotherhood. The game includes famous Roman landmarks and districts, including the Colosseum and the Vatican area.
Brotherhood introduced a more developed Assassin recruitment system, allowing Ezio to call trained recruits into missions. It also added the series' first major competitive multiplayer mode. The game is sometimes confused with Assassin's Creed II because both feature Ezio, but the earlier title's main locations are spread across several Renaissance Italian cities.
