In which band features Angus Young on guitar?

The story behind the answer

Angus Young plays guitar in the band AC/DC. Born in Glasgow in 1955 and raised in Australia, Young co-founded the hard rock group with his older brother Malcolm Young in Sydney in 1973. Angus became AC/DC's lead guitarist, songwriter, and most enduring member.

His playing is central to the band's sound: fast blues-based riffs, sharp rhythmic precision, and energetic lead work drive songs such as “Highway to Hell,” “Back in Black,” and “Thunderstruck.” He is also famous for performing in a schoolboy-style uniform and using an exaggerated version of Chuck Berry's duckwalk during concerts.

AC/DC formed with a changing early lineup, but Angus remained its only continuous member. Malcolm Young died in 2017, yet Angus continued performing and recording with the band. AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. A common mix-up is identifying Angus as the band's vocalist; singers including Bon Scott and Brian Johnson handled that role, while Young is the lead guitarist.
