In which 2019 film did Beyoncé voice the character Nala?

Beyoncé voiced Nala in the 2019 film The Lion King.

Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King is a photorealistic animated remake of Disney’s 1994 traditionally animated film. Beyoncé provided the voice of the adult Nala, while Donald Glover voiced Simba. The film also featured James Earl Jones returning as Mufasa.

Beyoncé’s involvement extended beyond voice acting. She curated and performed on The Lion King: The Gift, a companion album released in July 2019, and the visual album Black Is King later reinterpreted music from that project. A common mix-up is naming Black Panther, another major film associated with prominent contemporary music; Beyoncé did not voice a character in that movie.
