In what year was Halo 4 released?
Answer
2012
Answer
2012
Halo 4 was released in 2012.
Halo 4 launched for Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012, marking the first mainline Halo game developed by 343 Industries. The studio took over primary development of the franchise after Bungie completed Halo: Reach. Microsoft Studios published the game.
The story follows Master Chief and Cortana after the events of Halo 3. Their journey brings them to the Forerunner planet Requiem, where they encounter the Didact and the Prometheans. The campaign also explores Cortana’s rampancy and the changing relationship between the two central characters.
Halo 4 began a new trilogy initially called the Reclaimer Trilogy, although later franchise plans changed. It introduced new enemies, weapons, and vehicles while retaining the core first-person-shooter structure of earlier entries. Its 2012 release year distinguishes it from Halo 3 in 2007 and Halo 5: Guardians in 2015.
